THE CHALLENGE
Sun-Maid issued an RFP and my agency threw its hat into the ring. The assignment? Creating a campaign that could help win the business and boost Sun-Maid’s holiday sales.

THE APPROACH
I thought it would be funny if Santa actually disliked most of the cookies he gets during the holidays. Sun-Maid liked the idea, too. In fact, it helped us win their Agency of Record business. To bring the campaign to life, we created videos, social, in-aisle collateral and seasonal product packaging to encourage consumers to make the pledge to #BakeItForSanta.” The “It” being his favorite oatmeal raisin cookies with Sun-Maid raisins.

THE RESULT
The campaign ran for 7 weeks, ending on Christmas Day. At the end of the campaign’s run, Sun-Maid sales had increased by 64%.
